If you are a bodywork or movement therapist interested in learning more about working with fascia, this course is for you!Practical Myofascial Release Neck & Shoulders is a 2 day accredited CPD course which offers an in-depth opportunity to focus on structures of the upper body, treatment and self-help from a myofascial perspective.
The head, neck and shoulders are complex and pain sensitive structures. The shoulder girdle is one of the key centres in the body providing balance and movement for the upper body through myofascial force transmission.
In this course we will:
- Explore the anatomy and fascia of the head, neck, shoulders and arms;
- Look at balance and imbalance in the shoulder girdle, and how this affects the whole body;
- Learn how to treat common conditions such as headaches, migraines, neck pain, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff impingement, TMJ & jaw pain and RSI conditions including tennis & golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome & Duputryen’s contracture using myofascial techniques;
- Practise simple self-help exercises to share with clients.
This course will give you invaluable techniques to help make a real difference to clients who come to you with often complex upper body pain conditions.
Our course is running in Edinburgh EH10.
All of our courses are taught by Amanda Oswald, lead therapist and owner of the Pain Care Clinic, and author of 'Living Pain Free: Healing Chronic Pain with Myofascial Release'.
Our course sizes are all limited to small groups to ensure that all students have the benefit of individual attention.
