Taking a practical approach, we will highlight the issues that HR professionals are typically required to advise on, and providing legal and usable guidance on how to manage these. We will draw on experiences from the group as well as "war stories" from the presenters to make the learning interactive and entertaining.

Attendees will build on their understanding of their obligations as an employer, managing holidays and leave, performance and discipline, managing workplace issues such as bullying, harassment and discrimination, organisational change processes, through to termination of employment, personal grievances & disputes.

Who should attend: Those who are new to HR (or coming back to it after some years away) or line managers with HR responsibilities.

All personal development events are subject to HRNZ Terms and Conditions.

Registrations close 08:30am Thursday 28 July.

Testimonials

It gives you a great foundation of knowledge to build on and it's a great way to refresh your memory. I came away motivated and excited to attend the advanced employment law course. HR Advisor, Revera.

Friendly and casual but very knowledgeable conversational style. Catered for different learning styles (some people like to talk, some don't!). Excellent overall. The excellent workbook to take away to refer to afterwards - beautifully set out and easy to find stuff. HR Advisor, Self Employed.

I found all topics covered in the course most valuable. It was exactly what I was after to assist with my knowledge on Employment Law. Blair related to his audience extremely well. He managed to keep all of us engaged. Director, Aconsult Ltd
