H elp us to improve Crane Park Island!
T he last Sunday of the month we spend some hours taking care of Crane Park Island, one of the last refuges of water voles in London.
T he tasks that we do vary with the seasons, but are related with vegetation control, keeping the paths in good condition, monitoring the habitats, mainly.
I t is a wonderful way of keep fit, physically and emotionally. You will learn new skills, and enjoy working with a wonderful team of other volunteers.
We are happy to accommodate full and half day volunteering, to suit your needs. Please book your place and then email to say whether you will be joining us for the morning or afternoon.
Please bring lunch and drinking water and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and sturdy shoes - we're out in all weathers!
There are public toilets in the volunteer hut.

London Wildlife Trust will provide a short induction and all new volunteers must have completed a registration form and (general) induction before booking. All Trust volunteers must be aged over 18 years. Expenses can be covered for travel within Zones 1-6 and for a lunch of £6 or under on completion of a short form and with receipts. Any equipment needed for practical conservation is provided by the Trust, please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Please inform your team leader of any relevant medical conditions when completing your registration form.
