Primarily a skills-building workshop, class instruction will guide participants through a series of exercises designed to enhance artistic confidence and knowledge while working in color. It is best that students have a basic working knowledge of the color wheel, but no other special skills are required.Students must provide their own materials, and it is recommended that participants work in either acrylic or gouache, (but watercolor can be used). At a bare minimum, you must bring the three primary colors of red, yellow, and blue paints along with basic white and black; however, you are encouraged to bring any and all colors you may have available, You should also bring along a pad of paper suitable for “mixed media” or “wet media” preferably at least 9 x 12 inches.
