PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS IN PERFORMER RIGGING: (6 HOURS) with Brett Copes of Fight or Flight Ent.Time: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (1 hour for lunch)
This is a combination of lecture and hands on skills sharing to cover the basics of performer rigging for aerialists, stunt performers, coaches, crew members, technical directors, and more. Courses can be tailored to specific requests. This 6 hour course satisfies the rigging requirements of most US recognized aerial teacher training certifications.
TOPICS INCLUDED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- performer loads and human load testing
- choosing overhead anchors and rigging locations
- loads and limits of anchors and equipment
- new standards and certifications
- common knots and anchor slings
- performer lifting, flying, operations
- mechanical advantage systems
- equipment and facility inspections
- creating rescue and contingency plans

Studio Access and Info:
There is ample parking in a lot directly in front of the entrance to the studio. There is designated accessible parking and curb cut outs. The studio is also on the ground floor without any steps.
There are 3 non gendered, single stall restrooms. One has rails. Each is large enough for mobility aids to fit easily. There is a water fountain and the studio is climate controlled.
