Thinking of racing your pony in 2025?Training Days are an opportunity to bring along a pony and try pony racing, learn about the balance and fitness required, how to position yourself in a race, line up at the start, hold your reins and have a brilliant time. They are also an opportunity for each pony and jockey combination attending to qualify for the coming pony racing season.
The day is £40 per jockey/pony combination and includes ridden and non-ridden sessions. Children do not need to be PRA (or PC) members to attend but they must be entered in advance via the PRA website.
A guide to the day AND tack list is available on the Training Day page of the PRA website. Ponies will need an overgirth and neck strap. They MUST also be microchipped AND be fully vaccinated against Equine Influenza.
Please be sure to enter your pony using the registered name on their passport.
