About this Event
It’s time to RECONNECT in person!Let’s REIGNITE the spark to:
- Lead our IABC Pacific Plains Region chapters
- Engage our IABC members and volunteers
- Learn from and inspire one another
We encourage all chapters to send at least 2-3 board members to get the most out of this opportunity. Newer chapter leaders, incoming chairs, and current chairs will find this program particularly beneficial. More Information
IABC Pacific Plains Region (PPR) hosts a Fall Leaders Meeting for IABC chapter leaders each year. This two-day conference unites board members across the PPR region (Seattle, San Francisco-Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, St. Louis, Great Plains, Minnesota, Chicago) to learn, share best practices, and build relationships. What topics will we cover?
Running an IABC Board
Chapter leaders join professional development presentations and participate in interactive workshops to build and strengthen knowledge and skills in strategic planning, board governance, and volunteer leadership.
Managing Volunteer Burnout
With multiple priorities snagging our attention, taking care of yourself and those you lead can be challenging. Mark Mohammadpour of Chasing the Sun will join us for a 2-hour workshop on personal well-being. We'll explore practices to manage burnout in ways that should enable your chapter to retain and engage more volunteers.
Building Relationships
The most valuable takeaway from the PPR Chapter Leaders Meeting is the connections you will make with your IABC leadership peers. Building those connections will not only serve you as a volunteer leader but in your professional journey.
