PPC is back with our first Political Forum of Semester 2! In this forum we will be discussing New Zealand’s international sanction policy and legislation. The event will start by looking at global current events surrounding the infringement of human rights and persecution and discrimination against minority groups. As well as moralistic and practical arguments for taking action against regimes who do not conform to the rules based international order.
In the latter half of the evening we will be discussing the forthcoming Autonomous Sanctions Bill 50-1 and the different perspectives held around what independent foreign policy New Zealand should pursue.
So bring your ideas and views for this important kōrero!
