Powerlines 2025

Powerlines festival is one of the UK’s newest Independent Metal festivals – established in 2025 and exciting addition to the Yorkshire the heavy metal calendar.

Held at the charming location of Crookes Social Club in Sheffield in South Yorkshire, Powerlines plans to showcase a strong metal line-up on Yorkshire soil, with both local homegrown artists and national acts. By the fans, for the fans!

Expect to be joined by your metal brethren from all over, descending on Sheffield on 20th September 2025 for a day of unadulterated, full-on metal. This event is open to all ages and types of metalheads.

Firmament are a five-piece metal band from the city of Nottingham, who deliver a thunderous blend of heavy riffs and melodic intensity. Their debut single, ‘Avatar’ showcases their raw energy and powerful sound, setting the stage for their rise in the metal scene. With a passion for pushing boundaries and delivering intense performances, they are quickly becoming ones to watch for future metal scene domination.

ThunarWülf

Rising from the old kingdom of Hen Ogledd, ThunarWülf (olde English for Thunder Wolf) formed in 2022, with their first self titled EP being released at the end of the year.
Forged from members of local folk heroes Treebeard and The Kraken fused with a plethora of established metal musicians, ThunarWülf bring forward an energetic and aggressive mix of huge riffs, traditional folk melodies from the British Isles and beyond, sprinkled with catchy hooks. Described as “Ensiferum meets Warlock” and “The right mix of folk, 80’s metal and huge riffs”.
ThunarWülf sing songs of ancient myths and legends, many of which have remained untold since ages past. Fill your steins, raise your horns, and don your woad, for tonight, WE RIDE!
