Ever fancied helming a powerboat and being able to navigate safely in and out of harbours? We have two spaces left on a Powerboat level 2 course for Friday 12th / Saturday 13th July. This course is RYA accredited and will give you a fantastic grounding and understanding of safety at sea behind the helm. Even experienced mariners / fishermen have enjoyed this course and have learned essential life-saving skills such as man overboard. This course is also a brilliant confidence giver to those wishing to hire a boat whilst overseas on holiday. Your PB2 license will also allow you to gain your ICC (an international certificate of competence) Powerboat level 2 Course Details… Duration: 2 days (9am start tbc depending on tide) Location: Ilfracombe Harbour and training room Experience required: None Instructor / Student ratio: 1 to 3 Minimum age: 12 years (with permission from parents) The training boat: 7.5m RIBTEC RIB with Suzuki 200hp outboard engine (brand new engine with fly-by-wire throttle controls for ease of use) Introductory cost: £250 per person, maximum 3 people per course What to expect: Professional and knowledgeable training from an RYA accredited powerboat instructor (and a fun-filled, exhilarating 2 days on the water / in the classroom ?)
