Massachusetts’ plan to meet its clean energy goals by expanding its offshore wind portfolio faces an uncertain future with the return of a new Trump administration and the president’s policies designed to prevent wind power development. Solar power holds much potential, but its ability to scale is limited by grid capacity issues and requires significant investment. Other technologies, including fusion and low-carbon hydrogen, offer promise for a clean energy transition but have yet to be implemented in the commonwealth. With a new federal administration harboring policies that may not support Massachusetts’ key energy initiatives, what’s the best way forward?
Join Massachusetts energy leaders in government, industry and advocacy for an important discussion about Massachusetts’ energy policy and its goals for a net zero future.
