About this Event
Join us for a morning work party at one of our Powell Creek sites in Yelm. We'll be pulling invasive Scotch broom to prepare the site for volunteer and student plantings this winter. We will also make and install wire cages on young fir trees to protect them from elk damage.
We will take some time near the end to walk down to the Nisqually river shoreline and take in the incredible views. The walk is less than 0.5 mile roundtrip on a straight, flat, undeveloped trail.
This is a 3-hour work party beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 12:00 PM. We will be working rain or shine so dress appropriately for the weather. Tools, work gloves, water, and snacks will be provided.
Register to receive driving directions to the worksite.
Thank you for helping us restore the Nisqually watershed!
