Friday 7/8/22 1:30pm to 4:30pm. $70In this workshop we will be getting into the flow by learning how to make Acrylic Pour Art, also known as paint pouring, fluid art, liquid or flow art. You will be instructed on the techniques to create this beautiful form of abstract art from scratch. We will touch on the science behind the art, how the technique originated and how the acrylic paint colors react with each other when combined together. Most importantly you will be instructed on how to mix your paint correctly for the right flow consistency so that you can create interesting visually organic motifs every time! Be prepared to have fun and get a little messy!
Supplies list for Pour It On!! Fluid Acrylic Workshop:
Smock and or Apron,
Latex gloves or similar,
(1) 11x14 Canvas
Note: basic paint colors will be provided
Because of the nature of the work the pieces must set over night so make arrangements for pick up when dry....usually within 24 hours. A lot of times people ask if it okay to bring their own paint. Yes if you have a particular color scheme in mind of course BUT, DO NOT bring or buy expensive 'tube' paints for this art. In this case inexpensive craft paints are the best for a few reasons...that you will learn in class. In addition there are many colors to choose from and you can do so without making a huge investment.
