About this Event
Spend a lovely evening at the shop with ceramicist Joanne Rutter hand building a clay utensil jar under her expert tuition. No experience is necessary for this workshop which will be a great introduction to slab building with clay. You will create your own utensil jar and choose a glaze, Joanne will take these away for firing and they will be available to pick up from the shop approximately 4 weeks later in time for Christmas. The image below is of some jars created by previous workshop attendees.

About your host
Joanne Rutter was born in Birmingham and studied Ceramics at Wolverhampton Polytechnic in the 1980s. She enjoyed many years of teaching but ultimately decided to return to the studio in 2022, where she has been enjoying exploring new ideas, as well as developing projects from years ago.
She produces a wide range of ceramics for the home and garden, these include stoneware bowls, fully oven and dishwasher proof and the range of hand modelled fruits on display at The Kitchen Table.
