This vase or cup and saucer making workshop is a fun way to be introduced to slab building with clay. Fiona your tutor will show how to roll out a slab, add decoration by imprinting patterns into the surface. All materials are provided and each participant chooses a glaze colour for their items to be glazed. Fiona takes the items back to Whanganui to dry and then she fires and glazes them the colours chosen. Each participant will be given approximately 1kg of tan coloured clay and equipment needed to make the vase or cup and saucer.
