You will learn:
-Throwing a basic cylinder: Intro to centering, coning, opening & pulling; how to remove pots from the wheel, drying, and storage.
-Cylinders continued: Focusing on any area of difficulty.
-Transforming the cylinder: Collaring in, pulling out, creating curves / bellies, flares and bowls.
-Finishing your pots: Trimming all pieces and attachments, clean-up (handles, decorative sculptural elements)
All students are invited to an end-of-class glazing night, with an opportunity for community connection. There will be an instructor to teach finishing / glazing. Beginners will use brush-on stoneware glaze.
