Who is this course for?This 3 hour class is suitable for all levels.
In this workshop you will create your own teapot using clay.
£40 per person, Age 16 and over.
What does the course cover?
Over the half day session we will be showing you how to assemble and decorate your very own teapot. With a professional pottery tutor on hand to guide you through the session you will learn how to use moulds, slab building and the various functional aspects of a teapot.
Teapots will be taken back to Muddy Fingers HQ and dried then bisque fired, we will then glaze them in a colour of your choice and fire them again. The teapots are made from stoneware clay so will be unglazed on the base and occasionally around the underside of the rim (depends on fit). Glaze colours may not be exactly as they are on our testers.
The finished piece will be ready for collection about 4 weeks later.
What is included in the fee?
The fee includes tuition, the use of tools and equipment and all the materials and firings.
There is a maximum of 8 students per class to ensure individual attention.
Please note your pieces are taken away to be fired and will be ready for collection 4 weeks later, date to be agreed during the class.
