In this workshop we will cover:
-How to throw a vessel that is properly suited for a lid
-6 different ways to create lids for any ceramic vessel
-How to use calipers to make lids that fit precisely
-The impact of clay shrinkage on the measuring process-Basics of tap centering and water sealing to trim vessels and lids.
-Using silicon carbide to refine lids post firing
Materials: Bring your normal throwing tools, with calipers if you have them . A torch is helpful as well.
