About this Event
Come join us for a unique event combining the art of pottery and the beauty of poetry! Ground yourself in creativity by sculpting your own masterpiece while being inspired by spoken word performances. This in-person event will be held at The Village DC summer location, 1325 5th NE, directly behind the Union Market building, so mark your calendars and don't miss out on this creative experience!
This will be a free flowing workshop where you will learn the basics of hand-building techniques to create one-of-a-kind items like your own ashtray, planters, and more! The poetry portion will feature an open mic so be sure to invite your favorite musical-talented friends too!
All clay materials included. We will be using self-hardening clay and participants work will take 24hrs to dry. Participants are welcome to paint their piece once it dries at their own convience (acrylic paint recommeded).
