About this Event
The Potomac Tech Bridge is pleased to present the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) 2025.1/A SBIR/STTR Topics Workshop on 10 December 2024, 1000-1530. The Navy releases most of its Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) topics each year in the 1/A solicitation. Each topic presents a challenge for which the Navy is seeking an innovative solution from small businesses. Phase I contracts start at $140,000, and there is no limit to the amount that businesses can earn once they reach Phase III, commercialization. Non-profit research institutions such as universities are eligible to participate in the SBIR/STTR program by partnering with a small business that submits a proposal responding to a topic. Small businesses in the fields of science and technology and research institutions interested in partnering with small businesses are invited to attend the Topics Workshop to learn more about the Navy’s SBIR/STTR Program, the 2025.1/A topics, and resources for submitting proposals responding to the topics.
The Topics Workshop will feature:
· An overview of the Navy SBIR/STTR Program
· Briefings from the US Small Business Administration, Virginia APEX Accelerators, and the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO)
· A simulcast in which NAVSEA Technology Managers explain the 2025.1/A topics
· An ask-me-anything panel featuring Technology Manager Douglas Marker (NAVSEA Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems)
· Networking opportunities
This in-person event will be held at the Potomac Tech Bridge, located at the University of Mary Washington Dahlgren Campus (4224 University Drive, King George, VA 22485). Parking is free. Check-in will begin at 0930.
