The Potomac Playmakers is proud to present Ivan Menchall’s "The Cemetery Club!" Directed by Tom Doty, "The Cemetery Club" is a comedy of friendship, love, and companionship based on that most universal of life’s gifts, grief. In the play, three Jewish widows, Ida (Christine Grable), Lucille (Amy Fox), and Doris (Linda Romero), banter about their lives, loves, and losses, making once-a-month pilgrimages to their husbands’ graves. Hilarity ensues as Ida decides that grieving might not preclude getting on with her life. The local butcher Sam (Ryyn Currey) and another woman, Mildred (Lisa Hatch), play large and small roles, respectively, in Ida’s quest to uncover some happiness in her time left on earth. Produced with kind permission of Concord Theatricals, "The Cemetery Club" is rated G for a full family friendly experience. Performances run February 28- March 9, 2025. Each weekend will have a Friday night performance at 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday matinee performances at 3:00 p.m. General Admission tickets for all performances are $20 and $15 for Senior Citizens aged 65 and older. All tickets may also be purchased at the door or online at https://www.potomacplaymakers.org/get-tickets/ .
