“Potluck: Braai at the Lake - Braai by die Dam”Spend a splendid summer day with fellow South Africans
Event Details:
• Date: Saturday July 20th, 2024
• Location: Midnapore Lake, Calgary (private property, accessible by invitation only)
• Theme: South African Braai at the Lake!
• We’ve secured a cook shack where two braai pits will be lit and ready by lunchtime
Guest Instructions:
1. Bring Your Own Meat: Bring your favourite cuts of meat for the braai. Whether it’s succulent steaks, juicy chicken, or veggie skewers, let’s sizzle it up!
2. Share a Dish: each guest is invited to bring a delicious dish to share. From zesty salads and Pap and potjies to mouthwatering SA deserts!
Additional Details:
1. Registration with Erwin: To ensure a smooth and enjoyable event, all guests must register with Erwin. Please provide your names and the total number of people attending. Erwin will keep track of the headcount and manage access to the private lakeside location.
2. Event Capacity: Keep in mind that the event has a capped capacity. Once we reach the limit, additional registrations will be waitlisted. So, don’t delay, secure your spot by registering promptly!
3. Courtesy for Non-Attendees: Life happens, and sometimes plans change. If you’ve registered but find that you cannot attend, please notify Erwin as soon as possible. This way, a waitlisted family can take your place and join the festivities.
4. No Alcohol: Let's keep the vibes refreshing! Alcohol is not permitted at this event. We'll raise our glasses of cool drinks instead! Feel free to bring your own refreshing beverages: iced tea, lemonade, or your secret family recipe.
5. We've got electricity available for those who want to plug in a crockpot or similar
