THE ASSOCIATE ARTIST
Neville studied 3D Design in the early '90s at Manchester Met, specialising in wheel-thrown ceramics under the guidance of Alex McErlain. Over the years, Neville honed his skills through production throwing and various teaching positions. His focus on Slipware allowed him to take an environmentally friendly approach, using local clays that fire at lower temperatures.
Now, from his rural Essex studio, Neville creates functional pots that are exhibited across the UK. Inspired by the traditional rural pottery of Europe, his work is deeply rooted in English Slipware traditions. Each of his pieces are hand-thrown and raw-fired to earthenware temperatures, showcasing the natural beauty of terracotta clay.
