(Updated 11/13/2025)Voted “Best Instrumentalist” by the Americana Music Association, Nashville-based duo SistaStrings comes to the Library of Congress by popular demand. As members of Brandi Carlile’s touring band, SistaStrings performed in the Gershwin Prize concert honoring Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin, and their Instagram video featuring the Library’s Stradivari instruments went viral. Sisters Chauntee Ross (vocals and violin) and Monique Ross (vocals and cello) bring a deeply emotional, energetic and engaging program that weaves classical, soulful and contemporary sounds. The Ross sisters will also perform the world premiere of a Library of Congress commission composed by Larissa Maestro.
There will be no preconcert talk for this event.
