This nurturing and supportive group is for for mums / gestational parents and their young babies from around six weeks postpartum up to crawling age. These classes encourage meaningful interaction, play and bonding with your baby and they’re also a great way to meet other new parents.Classes include -
* Baby massage - simple massage strokes to help soothe and comfort your baby and support their growing body. This is done with the baby fully clothed.
* Gentle yoga based postnatal exercises - to restore strength and tone to your body and help relieve aches and tension. These can be done either with your baby or with baby close to you.
* Relaxation and breathing - for well being and a sense of calm
* Parenting support - a supportive and friendly atmosphere where you can talk about any concerns.
This is a relaxed and informal class so don't worry if your baby needs to feed or sleep during the session. Take time out with your baby when you need to and join back in when you’re ready.
When: Thursday mornings 10.30 to 11.45 in Southbourne, starting 6th June for a 5 week set. The other dates are 13th, 20th, 27th June and 4th July
Price: £50 for the set. If baby isn’t old enough to start on the 6th June you might be able to start part way through the term if there’s space and then pay from when you start (eg if baby is old enough to start on the 13th June the price is £40).
The price reduction only applies when baby is too young to start on the 6th June. Missed classes can’t be carried over or refunded but there is the option of making up a missed session in my Ringwood class on Wednesdays during the same block period if there’s space.
