4 In-Person Modules and 5 Virtual Zoom Meetings; AGD Member Tuition Includes: Nobel Implant Surgical Kit, 10 Implants and Salvin Bone, Membranes and Sutures. Surgical Kits and Implants are donated by Nobel and are the participants to take home for in office usage.
Tuition: $14,500 for Non-AGD Member Dentists
Live: 64 Hrs./ Virtual Credit Hours: 10 Hrs. All hours will apply as “Participation” towards Mastership in the AGD.
Course Description:
This posterior implantology course is designed to provide practicing dentists with the knowledge and skills necessary to start planning and placing implants in their offices. This course will focus on treatment planning, use of CBCT imaging, intraoral scanning, planning software, and surgical guides. Extraction, bone grafting, surgical technique, and suturing will be covered.
Participants will be trained in placing Nobel Biocare implants, surgical kits, and prosthetic components. Additional topics such as periodontal considerations and implant failures/complications will be covered. Participants will learn about the latest advances in implant materials and techniques.
Learning Objectives:
Module #1 (January 24-25, 2025)
*Basic understanding of intraoral photography.
*Treatment planning with intraoral photography, CBCT imaging, and intraoral scanning.
*Use of implant software and 3D printing to fabricate surgical guides.
*Extraction protocols, bone grafting and suture techniques.
*Introduction to Nobel Biocare implant system including implants and surgical protocols.
Module #2 (February 21-22, 2025)
*Implant surgical placement protocols.
*Management of surgical complications.
*Advanced bone grafting techniques.
*Soft tissue considerations for posterior implants and grafting options
Module #3 (March 21-22, 2025)
*Advanced bone grafting techniques.
*Soft tissue considerations for posterior implants and grafting options.
*Live patient hands-on implant placement (1-2 implants per patient).
*Review of surgeries.
Case presentations, treatment planning, and mentor’s review
Module #4 (May 2-3, 2025)
*Definition and pharmacology of minimal sedation.
*Required recordkeeping, equipment, and emergency drugs.
*Live patient hands-on implant placement (1-2 implants per patient).
