Posters are often used to share information and are an important part of many conferences, seminars, and exhibitions. They may be used to present quite complex material, so it is important that the information on them is well laid out, legible, and attractively presented. The main idea of the Poster Presentation can include any of the sections of civil engineering such as Structure, Environment, Water Supply, Waste Management, Transportation, Geotechnical & Soil Engineering, or Construction management, etc.Event Details:
Rules & Regulations:
Team Formation:
· Only university undergraduate students are eligible to participate in this segment.
· Each team should consist of a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 members.
· Cross-institutional teams are allowed.
Abstract Submission:
· The topic of the poster should be related to civil and environmental engineering.
· Participants have to register their team by Google form and submit the abstract in a .docx format file before the deadline.
· The abstract should not be more than 300 words.
· From the submitted abstract top 40 teams will be selected (Among which 25 teams can present their poster and the rest of the 15 teams will remain on the waiting list)
· The selected teams will be notified by email to pay the registration fee and complete the registration
· If any team fails to complete the registration within time that team will be disqualified and the next teams will be called from the waiting list.
· The poster must be printed by the participants and they will have to bring the poster on the event day to present it.
Poster Features:
· The selected 25 teams will present their final poster on the event day.
· The poster must contain a title.
· There is no need to use the logo of “CENNOVATION 2024”.
· The name of the team and the full names of the member(s) should be included in the poster.
· The poster size should be 2’ X 3’ (width X height).
· Poster material: PVC banner.
· An Introduction should be added to the poster.
· Description of the objective/purpose of the study or the problem it wants to solve should be presented.
· There should be a balance of graphic content (Graphs, Charts, Photographs, etc.) and text content.
· Conclusion or result should be added to the poster.
· Participants can use their thesis topic as the subject of the poster.
· Sources and references of the data should be provided in the poster.
Judgment and Showcasing:
· The competition will run for 5 hours.
· The posters will be hung according to the registration serial.
N.B: At least one of the members of the team must be present during the judgment otherwise no points will be added for the team
