About the artists

@Emily Kennedy is a Fredericton-based cellist and composer who also co-curates the Elm City String Quartet’s annual concert season. Adept in a wide variety of genres, a standard day finds her playing an Elm City String Quartet rehearsal, crafting ambient cello tracks, and writing for Pallmer, a chamber-pop band in which she is cellist and vocalist. Her interest in performing and writing new music has brought her to the SÍM Residency in Reykjavik; Banff’s Concert in the 21st Century residency; the Britten-Pears Composition, Alternative Performance and Performance Art program in Aldeburgh, UK; Montreal's Contemporary Music Lab; and Moncton's RE:FLUX Festival.

Steven Peacock, a classical guitarist, composer and choral conductor based in Fredericton, has performed as a soloist and accompanist in concert and recording engagements throughout Canada. Keenly interested in ensemble work, he has performed extensively with flutists Sally Wright and (in the UK) Jane Coulcher-Stoltenberg; sopranos Sally Dibblee and Wendy Nielsen; violinists Hyung-Sun Paik and Nadia Francavilla; violist Natalia Delacroix; bassoonist Yvonne Kershaw; percussionist Michel Deschênes; cellist Emily Kennedy; bassist Howard Baer; and
guitarist Gerry Van Wart. He also performs with the Jim Campbell Jazz Trio.
