ACERCA DEL EVENTO:

Marguerite Duras dijo esa frase tan maravillosa de que “hay que encontrarse lo más cerca del paraíso”. Y nosotrxs, vamos a dibujar el nuestro.

Cuando vives en diferentes lugares partes tuyas se van quedando entre esos lugares en forma de recuerdos y las postales pueden convertirse en el souvenir perfecto para atesorar esos momentos.

Postcards from Paradise es un workshop, práctico y conversacional a partes iguales, ideado para mentes curiosas, creativas y aventureras que buscan crear conexiones nuevas y conocer gente afín a través de la charla y el dibujo.

Un workshop que nace de nuestros propios recuerdos para que cada unx reconecte y se traslade a ese lugar donde se sintió feliz y libre. Desde esa emoción trabajaremos y haremos nuestra propia postal -para autodedicarnos y/o dedicar- donde dibujaremos nuestro paraíso -real o imaginario- con ceras, pasteles secos y tinta china.

Antiguamente las postales eran una parte importante en la correspondencia con los seres queridos, una forma de estrechar distancias y enlazarnos con ellos a través de imágenes y palabras donde entre líneas se leía el estuve allí y me acordé de ti. Un trozo de papel impregnado de memoria e instantes que nos rememoran una cálida emoción que nos insta a vivir, explorar, perderse, encontrarse y conocerse.

ACERCA DE LA ARTISTA, Alma Rausell Lliso

Graduada en Bellas Artes por la Universitat Politècnica de València y con Máster en Arts Management en Roma. Ha trabajado como asistente de galería para la Galleria Marie-Laure Fleisch (Roma), para el Museo Peggy Guggenheim Collection (Venecia), para Gagosian (Roma y Londres) y como asistente de dirección para Alarcón Criado (Sevilla). Actualmente dirige Espacio Aire, una Escuela de Pintura + Espacio Cultural.

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Marguerite Duras said that wonderful phrase that "you have to be as close to paradise as possible". And we are going to draw ours.

When you live in different places, parts of you stay between those places in the form of memories and postcards can become the perfect souvenir to treasure those moments.

Postcards from Paradise is a workshop, practical and conversational in equal parts, designed for curious, creative and adventurous minds looking to create new connections and meet like-minded people through conversation and drawing.

A workshop that is born from our own memories so that everyone can reconnect and move to that place where they felt happy and free. From that emotion we will work and make our own postcard -to dedicate to ourselves and/or to dedicate- where we will draw our paradise -real or imaginary- with crayons, dry pastels and Chinese ink.

In the old days, postcards were an important part of the correspondence with loved ones, a way of strengthening distances and linking us with them through images and words where between the lines we could read "I was there and I remembered you". A piece of paper impregnated with memory and moments that remind us of a warm emotion that urges us to live, explore, get lost, meet and get to know each other.

ABOUT THE ARTIST, Alma Rausell Lliso

Graduated in Fine Arts at the Universitat Politècnica de València and with a Master in Arts Management in Rome. She has worked as gallery assistant for the Galleria Marie-Laure Fleisch (Rome), for the Peggy Guggenheim Collection Museum (Venice), for Gagosian (Rome and London) and as assistant director for Alarcón Criado (Seville). She currently directs Espacio Aire, a Painting School + Cultural Space.
