The Neighbourhood Project CIC is carrying out research into the history of Bierley. We are looking to talk to people who have lived, worked, volunteered, owned a property or business, or had some other connection with the area or nearby, or who are familiar with it for some other reason.We are especially interested in people who lived in or close by Bierley soon after the Second World War as we wish to capture people’s memories of this period, what it was like to live there, how it changed and any interesting facts or stories. These memories will provide us with material for a short video about Bierley we hope to produce before the end of the year.
With kind support from Incommunities, we are running a ‘memory bank’ event at Bierley Community Centre, 102-104 Bierley House Avenue, Bradford, BD4 6BU on Tuesday 28th October 2025, 1pm to 3pm. This will be an informal discussion and give people an opportunity to reminisce about Bierley and share their stories. People’s contributions will be anonymous unless they give us permission to name them. We will provide light refreshments.
