The California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) offers the California POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) exam to anyone interested in a law enforcement job.
The exam is free to attend. Limited seating is available.
The PELLETB is a multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank written examination designed to measure reading and writing ability. Applicants are given 2 hours to complete the PELLETB.
While test takers may take the PELLETB multiple times to achieve the desired score, California POST prohibits test takers from testing more than one time in a 30 day period. Taking the test within 30 days of a prior POST PELLETB examination will result in invalidation of test results.
To comply with California POST security measures, we are required to view and retain your government-issued photo ID for the duration of the exam.
Check in begins at 0900 hours and testing begins promptly at 0930 hours. Individuals arriving after the scheduled start time will not be allowed to test.
