Presented by Great Southern GrammarJoin us for an enchanting puppet play that gives a glimpse into the magical night life of the backyards of Albany/Kinjarling, highlighting the beauty of our critically endangered wildlife and their struggle for survival.
You will meet the inhabitants of Possum Place including Grandma who fights to protect her tomatoes and apricot tree from the paws of the western ringtail possum and a young child who loves nature and carefully follows the nightly routine of the possum.
Our play is entirely based on stories collected from our school community about the western ringtail possum and is performed and puppeteered by students. The possum is critically endangered and Albany hosts one of the last remaining populations, making this story close to home.
This original play has been a collaboration with multi-disciplinary artist, Chloe Flockart and has been made possible by the Creative Schools Grant, Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport. This play is a heartfelt celebration of community, creativity and conservation.
