Peter Mullen is officially retired after 5 decades of work with his primary focus on Financial Literacy. Most recently, he has served in many local non-profits, providing financial counseling, coaching and workshops. In retirement he continues to counsel first time home buyers and also women who have faced financial abuse of some kind. Peter believes that any financial challenge can be overcome. Peter Mullen is a Community Ambassador for the Office of Economic Empowerment (OEE).
The Office of Economic Empowerment (OEE) is a department founded by Massachusetts State Treasurer and Receiver General Deborah B. Goldberg. They are the state's leader in creating opportunities for free personal financial education and wealth-building pathways for all residents. The OEE helps people learn how to confidently manage their money and plan for their family's future. The department is also a resource to organizations, government agencies and elected officials as they work to support their communities' economic well-being. Under the guidance of Treasurer Goldberg, the department also works alongside policymakers to establish pathways to wealth equity in Massachusetts.
