FEATURING

Black Folks Don't Swim? is a soulful Black music machine from space that must be pronounced with the upswing inflection of a question. Led by a core ensemble of Black Gender-Variant folks, their music floats through a myriad of liberating sonic traditions including Jazz, Funk, Quiet Storm, Future Soul and R&B.

NANí is a brooklyn born&raised&representing singer-songwriter who writes what they describe as “sad gay guitar music.” more eloquently, their music has been characterized as “braiding from more progressive folk to folk-r&b” with “melodic swells and dives [that] create an atmosphere that is dually tense and relaxing” (Wild Hunt Sessions). No matter how you experience it, NANí is all about art as an act of connection; Black and queer and trans and disabled love and resistance; and the magic in between. Their debut album, Cowboy Song, was released in 2024 with the support of their community. pa’lante, pa’siempre!

Ivy Sole is a Black nonbinary Philadelphian by way of Charlotte, North Carolina. Ivy’s career reflects a profound devotion to Black music, Black culture, and the duality of Black consciousness. Thus far, their catalogue includes three full length albums, several EPs and a live studio project. Ivy’s music is equal parts autobiographical and fantastical, subtly political, and genre-defying while remaining decidedly rooted in hip hop.
