About this Event
Please join us on June 16th, 2024 for the 4th annual charity golf tournament as we take advantage of living near a community with a beautiful golf course designed by one of the all time-greats, Jack Nicklaus. As a community we will spend the day competing, relaxing, eating, sharing a common interest and lastly raising funds for charity. A portion of the fees collected will go be donated to the American Heart Association Greater Washington Region Heart Walk (AHA), And we are looking at ways to donate to other organizations as well.
In Memory of Jeffrey Smith
In addition to the below, in 2025 we are also honoring and remembering our neighbor, fellow golfer, and amazing member of our community Jeffrey Smith who suffered a heart attack in July of 2024. Jeff, was a passionate golfer, amazing friend, Selfless Neighbor, and so much more. Why the American Heart Association:
My name is Dave Eismeier and I'm what the AHA calls a "Heart Warrior". I moved into Potomac Shores in 2020. I have been involved with AHA with my company for the last 10 years helping raise thousands of dollars with the help of my Heart Walk Teams. Heart Health is important to me as i'm a fairly new dad and I've known to many fathers that have been taken from their kids to early due to heart conditions. Just last year I was diagnosed unexpectedly with a congenital heart defect that was affecting blood flow around my heart and after many tests and discussions I had Bypass Open Heart Surgery on 11/2/2023. My life has changed drammatically, and I'm as determined as ever to raise awareness for heart conditions/disease and the mission of the American Heart Association. This year as I look to build on the annual tournament, I look to make things even better, smoother and more enjoyable.Last year I raised over $15,000 for the AHA, $10,000+ of that coming from this tournament. For additional details on my story, HERE to my current year fundraising page for 2025 that I just kicked off this year to show my involvement.
