The Portsmouth Olde Towne Farmers Market is a non-profit weekly community gathering place run entirely by volunteers, where you can find the best local farm produce, veggies, seasonal fruits, honey, beef, poultry (including duck), eggs, fish, baked goods, fresh cooked-to-order hot food, confections, all kinds of homemade, homegrown, handcrafted artisan products, and unique gifts! It's a friendly, welcoming place to walk around see old friends, or make new ones. You'll find balloon twisters, cosplayers, face painters, art bike riders, street musicians, antique & classic cars, tractors, bagpipe players, maybe some horses or a rabbit or a snake or a parrot on someone's shoulder, ghosts of Portsmouth's past in period costumes ... the happy & random fun activities change every week, and you never know what you'll see! We're here EVERY Saturday (dangerous weather rain date Sunday) in the heart of the Olde Towne historic district, spread out on the brick sidewalks for five blocks, surrounded by museums, great restaurants, and cool little shops. Look for our old red Virginia farm truck, parked in the intersection of High & Court streets in Olde Towne. Visit us by land (400 High Street, Portsmouth VA for your GPS, and ask any of our yellow vest military volunteers for parking directions) or by sea (take Elizabeth Rive Ferry to High Street Landing, or if on your own boat head to Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) Mile Marker Zero, take advantage of free docking at High Street landing, and walk two blocks due west on High Street until you see us!) 🙂 Coming in a classic car? Roll up to the intersection of High Street and Court Street, and one of our military or veteran volunteers will direct you to a parking space!Watch our Facebook page for weekly updates; we post a vendor and food list by Friday morning of each week so you know who to expect! WE'RE SO GLAD YOU FOUND US! ❤
