Description: Join the Marine Exchange of Puget Sound and Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST) for an in-person special presentation of Ports to Freedom training. Ports to Freedom is a comprehensive human trafficking prevention training that was specifically created for employees in the maritime industry. The video-based training shares personal experiences of human trafficking survivors to help maritime employees learn how to recognize the indicators of human trafficking in the maritime industry.
BEST’s training is proven to increase awareness of human trafficking and change the behaviors that allow human trafficking to remain undetected at port facilities. Attendees of this training will learn how to recognize and safely report incidents to help prevent people from being exploited by human traffickers. Everyone who completes the training will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
