Join us on location with portrait photographer Kate Hailey for this hands-on workshop.
When we create portraits on location we often use just available light. Level up your game and learn how to add a splash of light to your location portraits.
- How to add a natural-looking fill light
- Creating editorial looks
- Using Gels for creative effects
We will have an awesome model to photograph as we wander through the Ballard area seeking out unique backgrounds to make some fantastic portraits!
Attendees will leave this experience more confidence in using off-camera flash, finding great compositions, and working with models.

WHAT TO BRING
Camera with at least one lens, a memory card, and a fully charged battery.
Experience Level: Camera - Intermediate; Lighting - Beginner
Attendees should have an understanding of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and how to navigate their camera menus.

PRICING, FEES & REFUNDS
In the event of a refund, Eventbrite Fees are not refundable. Eventbrite fees are only refunded if an event is canceled.
We will issue a full refund up to 4 days before the event date; or a 50% refund up to the day of the event, however, we are able to fill the spot, we may issue a full refund.
Refunds are unavailable post-event date.
