PORTRAITS IN STONE: THE GREAT CATHEDRALS Mark Cottle, a lecturer at Exeter College, Bath and Plymouth will be our guest lecturer on Thursday 19 February 2026
Over five hundred years the great medieval cathedrals were built as the greatest single architectural achievement in terms of resources, space covered, design and craftsmanship. The lecture follows the evolution of cathedral building with particular reference to structural and aesthetic details together with the fascinating figures and events behind them.
New members and guest welcome. Guests can attend in person up to 2 lectures per programme at a cost of £12 per lecture.
Members can attend in person or access the lecture on zoom to members.
