About this Event
Learn the basics of off-camera flash and portrait photography in an informal, inviting, and fun setting. Topics will include metering, lighting styles, typical lenses. Each participant gets time making photographs with our model Alexis. Sean McLean will provide basic instruction and recommend settings without boring lectures. Honest.
Recommended gear:
1. Any digital camera with interchangable lenses (DSLR/mirrorless) -- heck bring a Polaroid OneStep if you really want to. A loaner Canon DSLR will be available.
2. Kit lens (18-55mm), 50mm prime, 85mm, or a 70-200 telephoto. There's no need to be super fancy.
