About this Event
What is the Portland Mid-Autumn Festival?
Also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, this is a traditional event celebrated in many SE Asian cultures. On this day, many believe that the Moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time in the middle of Autumn. Lanterns of all sizes and shapes are carried and displayed – symbolic beacons that light people's path to prosperity and good fortune.
The White Lotus Foundation is preserving this tradition by bringing together the Portland AAPI Community– hosting a dedicated space to collaborate and celebrate one another.
At the event, you’ll enjoy live entertainment, games for the kids, and an opportunity to meet your favorite local AAPI businesses. Most importantly, this event is FREE to attend — with food, drinks, giveaways, and more.
