Precipitation NW and the Portland Burning Man community invite the public to BurnOn, a regional Decompression Event and Art Show held beneath the iconic arches of Cathedral Park.www.burnonpdx.com BurnOn is a celebration of creativity, community, and the principles of Burning Man—a little bit of Black Rock City brought to Portland and shared with the community. Designed to welcome not only seasoned Burners but also those who have never attended a Burning Man event before, BurnOn is rooted in the spirit of radical inclusion: everyone is welcome. Portlanders are invited to get a taste of "The Big Burn" in an accessible, family-friendly setting—no desert required. BurnOn is no cost and open to the public, suggested donation $5-$25
The day will feature:
Art Installations & Interactive Works – local and regional artists transforming Cathedral Park into an interactive art gallery.
Live Performances & Storytelling – music, dance, and Tales of the Playa.
Illuminated & Fire Art After Dark – Cathedral Park glowing with light and flame as the sun goes down. (local burn ban permitting).
Volunteer Ambassadors - Friendly Burners ready to welcome Portlanders to the party and guide them into active participation.
In true Burning Man tradition, BurnOn is non-commercial: there will be no vending of any kind. Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks, drinks, and picnics.
