Since the 1930's, our nation has honored our United States Merchant Mariners on May 22.The Port Arthur International Seafarers Center, the Port of Port Arthur and Stella Maris - Diocese of Beaumont invites you to part of the 2024 National Maritime Day Observance at the Seamen's Memorial Sundial.
This year, we will honor the US Maritime Administration and their reserve operating ships and the National Reserve Fleet.
Schedule:
10:00 a.m. - Memorial Service at the Seamen's Memorial Sundial (1100 block of 4th Street at Mobile Avenue)
10:30 a.m. - Laying of wreath by the Sabine Pilots
11:30 a.m. - Barbeque Chicken lunch sponsored by the Port of Port Arthur hosted at the Port Arthur International Seafarers' Center (401 Houston Avenue, Port Arthur)
