Οι Decius είναι ένα παράδοξο supergroup. Ο Lias Saoudi frontman των Fat White Family, οι Luke & Liam May της Trashmouth Records και ο Quinn Whalley των Paranoid London & Warmduscher - έχουν ταξιδέψει στον πλανήτη γη από το 2021 απελευθερώνοντας τους ανθρώπους από την αφόρητη κοινοτοπία με την κυκλοφορία του Decius Vol. I και πρόσφατα του Decius Vol. II (Splendour & Obedience). Μέσω αυτών αποκάλυψαν σε όλους όσους συνάντησαν στον διάβα τους, αυτό ακριβώς που έλειπε από τη ζωή τους: μία ανεξέλεγκτη ώθηση χωρίς σύνορα και χωρίς λόγο.
Οι Decius κάνουν κυρίως μουσική για νυχτερινά κέντρα, όμως οι σπόροι τους κουβαλούν μία punk ακομπλεξάριστη ενέργεια γεμάτη πάθος, καταλήγοντας σε ένα εθιστικό κράμα acid house και disco.
Πήραν το όνομά τους από τον Ρωμαίο αυτοκράτορα που κυβέρνησε μόλις για 2 χρόνια, από το 249 μ.Χ. έως το 251 μ.Χ., όταν σκοτώθηκε από τους Γότθους στη μάχη του Abritus. Υπάρχει μεγάλη πιθανότητα οι Decius να έχουν παρόμοια μοίρα – αν και ήδη μετρούν 4 χρόνια ζωής - αλλά στο μεταξύ είναι εδώ για να κυβερνήσουν τα πιο ιδρωμένα δωμάτια, να παίζουν με τα κουμπιά και να ουρλιάζουν στην άβυσσο καθώς ο κόσμος καίγεται.

Οι Modern Ruin δημιουργήθηκαν στο Βερολίνο απο τον Νίκο Ράπτη (Fringe Society/f0ment) και τον Μάκη Παπασημακόπουλο (ex Rattler Proxy). Με ήχο που ισορροπεί ανάμεσα στο krautrock, το σκοτεινό synthwave και την club κουλτούρα, το σχήμα δημιουργεί υποβλητικά, επαναληπτικά soundscapes με έντονο industrial χαρακτήρα και αναλογική ατμόσφαιρα.
Το ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ τους, Unemployment Line Disco, κυκλοφόρησε από την επιδραστική σουηδική δισκογραφική Höga Nord Rekords, ενώ το follow up EP τους στην Lurid Music με τίτλο Flesh βρήκε το σχήμα να φιλτράρει τον ήχο του μέσα απο το remix του Gabe Gurnsey στο Echoes of Blood.
Στην παρούσα φάση του, το σχήμα ολοκλήρωσε το δεύτερο LP του με τίτλο Oubliette και συνεχίζει να πειραματίζεται με την υπαρξιακή του μελαγχολία κάπου σε ένα μικρό στούντιο του Βερολίνου.

Το Degear0001 είναι ένα μουσικό performance που συνδυάζει πειραματικό pop με στοιχεία hip hop, indietronica, chiptune και videogame music.
Χαρακτηριστικά χρησιμοποιούνται samples που παράγονται από αυτοσχέδια ηλεκτρονικά όργανα με πειραγμένα κυκλώματα, φθηνά αρμόνια και synthesizer που δημιουργήθηκαν ή τροποποιήθηκαν από τον ίδιο, συνδυαστικά με live looping, finger drumming και high-pitched φωνητικά. Όλα αυτά συντελούν ένα πειραματικό μίγμα ηλεκτρονικών ήχων, με γρήγορες εναλλαγές, lo-fi και ambient μελωδιών.

Decius is an obscure supergroup. Lias Saoudi, frontman of Fat White Family, Luke & Liam May of Trashmouth Records, and Quinn Whalley of Paranoid London & Warmduscher—have been traveling the planet since 2021, liberating people from unbearable mediocrity with the release of Decius Vol. I and, more recently, Decius Vol. II (Splendour & Obedience). Through these, they revealed to everyone they met along the way exactly what was missing from their lives: an uncontrollable urge without boundaries and without reason.
Decius mainly make music for nightclubs, but their seeds carry an unapologetic punk energy full of passion, resulting in an addictive blend of acid house and disco.
They took their name from the Roman emperor who ruled for only two years, from 249 AD to 251 AD, when he was killed by the Goths in the Battle of Abritus. There is a good chance that Decius will suffer a similar fate – although they have already been around for four years – but in the meantime, they are here to rule the sweatiest rooms, play with the buttons and scream into the abyss as the world burns.

Modern Ruin was formed in Berlin by Nikos Raptis (Fringe Society/f0ment) and Makis Papasimakopoulos (ex-Rattler Proxy). With a sound that balances between krautrock, dark synthwave, and club culture, the duo creates immersive, repetitive soundscapes infused with industrial character and analog atmosphere.
Their debut album, Unemployment Line Disco, was released by the influential Swedish label Höga Nord Rekords, while their follow-up EP on Lurid Music, titled Flesh, found the duo filtering their sound through Gabe Gurnsey’s remix of Echoes of Blood.
Degear0001 is a live music performance that blends experimental pop with elements of hip hop, indietronica, chiptune music, and video game music. The defining features are samples created using self-built electronic instruments, including modified circuitry, cheap or toy keyboards, and synthesizers crafted or modified by himself, together with live looping, finger drumming and high-pitched vocals. The outcome is a fast-paced blending of energetic, lo-fi and ambient tunes.
