Toni from Easely Does It and Rebecca from Jack and Alice Crafts invite you to a special creative retreat that blends painting, needle-felting, and the timeless symbolism of the poppy.
Set against the historic and atmospheric backdrop of Hughenden, this retreat is a chance to pause, create, and reflect.
? Morning – River Poppies Painting
Begin the day by painting a serene poppy-themed acrylic scene on a 40x30cm canvas. Guided step-by-step, you’ll capture the vibrant reds, soft greens, and gentle light of these iconic blooms.
? Lunch Break
Why not head to the cafe and treat yourself to a lovely treat from the cafe (Not included)
? Afternoon – Felt a Poppy Keepsake
In the afternoon, we’ll slow the pace and guide you through needle-felting a tactile poppy keepsake.
Choose to create a wearable pin, a framed felted picture, or a simple tribute to honour remembrance.
You’ll go home with two beautiful creations:
A poppy painting on canvas
A hand-felted poppy keepsake
Perfect as a meaningful piece for yourself or as a thoughtful gift.
? Paint And Poke Day No Experience Needed
Beginners and seasoned creatives alike are welcome. All materials are provided — just bring an open heart and a willingness to create.
