In mid-November, the days are shorter and darker. This class honors quiet introspection and encourages students to find warmth and clarity from within - an 'inner lantern' to guide them through the season. Cultivating a sense of presence and inner radiance. In yin yoga, we use longer held postures to allow for the deep opening of the connective tissues. Yin yoga improves joint mobility and flexibility, balances the mind and body, increases circulation and flow of chi to target areas, and reduces stress and anxiety. Most postures are done sitting or lying down, and use of supportive props is encouraged. Our practice will close with the soothing sounds of singing bowls.
Some yoga experience is required.
