An opportunity for the family to join the members of Wells & Mendip Astronomers on the Wells Cathedral Green on Saturday 29th March 10am to midday to safely observe the surface and atmosphere of your nearest star, the Sun.
This free event allows the public to wander up and use a range of special telescopes configured so you can view the Sun without damaging your eyesight. Under the guidance of members of Wells & Mendip Astronomers you'll see sunspots, faculae, filaments, and solar prominences.
The event is weather dependent.
