This is your chance to get creative and into the festive spirit! Our Pop-Up Ashington Group Hut, designed by visual artist Imogen Cloët, is inspired by the hut in which the Pitmen Painters met to make and talk about their artworks.
In the run up to Christmas and during the school holidays, come along and create your own origami inspired Christmas trees in our pop-up Ashington Group art hut this winter. You can take your trees home or add them to a growing winter landscape within the pop-up hut at Woodhorn Museum.
Walking in a Winter Wonderland is devised by artist Paul Merrick and inspired by ‘The Christmas Tree’ by Harry Wilson which you can see on display in the Ashington Group Gallery.
Our pop-up hut will be open between 11am and 3pm on the following weekends in the run up to Christmas:
Saturday 30th November & Sunday 1st December
Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th December
