Pop-Up Art Exhibition & Sale 2024: Artists' Registration & Payment Form

This popular event, which showcases artwork from local, regional and national artists, starts with a Private Preview Evening on Friday, 4th October. This is by invitation only and includes several local dignitaries. There is free entry to the public on the weekend of 5th & 6th October from 10am to 5pm.

This event will be robustly marketed and publicised on social media, local press and radio and has a high level of footfall. Our first Art event took place in 2019 and we have gone from strength to strength, with 71 artists involved in our 2022 event, and over 80 in 2023. We raised between £9,000 and £10,000 each time.

Artwork will be displayed in the Bedford MS Therapy Centre for the whole weekend. The registration fee is £15 per artist/sculptor.

ARTISTS/SCULPTORS:

Artists may submit up to four hung original artworks, ten unframed (unhung) originals/prints and up to 50 greeting cards. Please be aware that any artwork over 2ft x 3ft may be counted as two of your total allowed works.

Sculptors may submit up to four sculptures or more, depending on the size. Any sculpture larger than what we deem average may be counted as two of your total allowed works.

Please note we guarantee to display three pieces of artwork at the start of the event.

Although you do not have to be present throughout the exhibition, we ask that you spend as much time as you can at the event and be available to steward for at least one session during the exhibition. We know that visitors are far more likely to purchase if they can meet the artist. You will have the opportunity to select your stewarding sessions and submit details of your artwork closer to the time.

All artists/sculptors will feature in our A4 colour catalogue, which is sponsored by local businesses and distributed free of cost to all visitors at the exhibition.

TABLE TOP SALES:

Jewellery, ceramics, glass, sculptures, etc: In addition to the exhibition, we also offer table top sales. We will provide each seller with one table to display your pieces and one chair. You MUST be on site throughout the event to promote and sell your work and ensure its security. Availability for this is limited. You do not need to register online for this; please email [email protected] soon to avoid disappointment, if you would like to book a table at £15 pp. All submissions for the table top sale are discussed individually with the artist.

SALES: All sales are handled by the event committee and artists are remunerated on any sold items within four weeks of the event. 33% of the sale price for all sold items and any future commissions generated at this event will go directly to the Bedford MS Therapy Centre charity. This will go towards providing therapies and support to people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Beds, Northants and adjacent counties.
