About this Event
"That’s all anybody can do right now. Live. Hold out. Survive. I don’t know whether good times are coming back again. But I know that won’t matter if we don’t survive these times.”
― Octavia E. Butler, Parable of the Sower
This is what the Black community does - survive. We saw healing circles, mutual aid, and other practices of collective care after the devastating wildfires in the LA area. People came together to share information and resources to help folks impacted by the crisis. At Black Feminist Future, we are working to build power for our communities to survive and thrive. Liberation requires a commitment to dreaming, analyzing, organizing, and connecting. And that's what we plan to do on Saturday, March 8th, at 1 PM with LA area community members. We're going to map out the needs of our people and discuss what thriving looks like together.
Join us for Pop Out and Get Free: The Blueprint is Community at Queen Haven on Saturday, March 8th at 1 PM! Bring your stories, your dreams, and your ideas to contribute to a collective blueprint for a thriving Black community in the LA area. We knew the West Coast was poppin' before Kendrick said it!
All ages are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Lunch will be served. Registration is required for this event. Click to register for the event.
